The Amanda Tamanabae Sim (ATS) Cancer Foundation is a PNG based nonprofit organization dedicated to assist cancer patients in terms of financial support, Medical Assistance, lodging within the country and overseas and research. Our Mission is to eradicate the problems faced by the immediate family members and the patients when seeking Medical Care. Our Vision is to ensure Cancer Patients receive treatment on a timely manner.

The Foundation has been recently registered with the Investment Promotion Authority and is a charity organization. It is planned that all funds raised and acquired from individuals, Corporate Bodies, Government, Private Businesses and others will go to the programs specified by foundation’s focused Areas.

The ATS Cancer Foundation was founded on the 6th of April 2021 and will carry out its Mission by focusing its work on four Areas:

  1. Lodging & Transport- The foundation is focused on providing Cancer Patients with Self Contained rooms for patients referred to Port Moresby General Hospital or other for Treatment. We will lodge the patient and then transport the patient to and from the hospital upon doctors advise. We are simply helping patients who could not afford to come to the city to get Medical Help due to no Wantoks or transport etc.
  2. Medical Services-  The foundation is also dedicated to providing Cancers Patients with services such as X-rays and scan machines to prevent patients from sitting in long queues at public hospitals.
  3. Fundraising- This Cancer Foundation will work closely with patients and immediate family members to raise funds where necessary to assist patients with their Care-Givers to meet financial expenses within and abroad.
  4. Research- We are aimed at funding innovative projects that is more focused on finding a cure for All forms of Cancer.
